Which Mailer is Right for Your Application?

Bravo Systems offers a range of different mailers including Ecolite, Xpak and FastPak Poly mailers, but which one is right for you and your application? Let’s explore the features and benefits of each.

Ecolite

Ecolite bubble mailers provide exceptional low-cost shipping protection for a large variety of products. Ecolites are made with a golden kraft outer layer and inside layer of Duraliner Bubble. They’re a fantastic alternative to shipping items in a box or carton, resulting in much lower packaging and shipping costs. Ecolites are also fully laminated, which provides durability and better protection for the products inside during transit and parcel shipping.

Ecolites have slip lining which makes it easier to insert and extract products, increasing productivity and packaging efficiency. Tamper evident hot-melt self-seal closure helps ensure content security and available custom print options are great for advertising and branding. These padded mailers are ideal for eCommerce fulfillment, retail shipping, and sending fragile or lightweight products through the mail.

XPak

Xpak bubble poly mailers combine the tear, weather and puncture resistance of a courier envelope with the cushioning of a Duraliner bubble lining. Every Xpak mailer is made from 100% polyethylene, and their shipping costs are much lower than a lot of alternative packaging options. They also feature a white outer surface which is ideal for high-quality color printing. These durable poly bubble mailers help protect products throughout the shipping process while keeping package weight to a minimum.

Xpak mailers’ exterior film has an opaque gray lining on the inside which prevents see-through and protects privacy. Like Ecolites, Xpaks also have hot melt self-seal closure to ensure content security by providing a tamper evident seal. Because they’re made from polyethylene, Xpak mailers have strong puncture resistance. There is an anti-static release liner so items being inserted or extracted don’t get stuck. Xpaks also feature a smooth print surface which is ideal for advertising, promotional mailing and branding and is printable in   up to eight colors.

FastPak

Fastpak courier mailers feature polyethylene which provides superior tear and puncture resistance and the gray inner lining provides document confidentiality. Fastpak courier mailers also feature a white outer surface which is ideal for high-quality printing. These lightweight shipping mailers offer a cost-effective solution for sending documents, invoices, catalogs, and other flat items.

Fastpak mailers have excellent puncture resistance which provides superior protection, resulting in less damage during transit. Outstanding tear strength means no unwanted tears along seams, ensuring perfect delivery every time and resistance to water and dirt means documents always arrive clean and dry.

Why Choose a Mailer Over a Box?

For many shipping applications, mailers offer a faster, simpler, and more convenient alternative to traditional boxes. Unlike boxes, which often require assembly, tape, and additional void fill, mailers can typically be packed and sealed in just a few seconds. Their lightweight design helps streamline the packing process, reduce material usage, and improve packaging efficiency. With fewer steps involved, mailers can help increase productivity in fulfillment operations while still providing the protection needed to ensure products arrive safely at their destination. Whether you're shipping eCommerce orders, documents, or lightweight products, mailers can help save both time and packaging costs.

Which Mailer is Right for You?

Choosing the right mailer depends on the level of protection, durability, and presentation your shipment requires. Ecolite mailers offer an economical solution with reliable cushioning for a wide range of products, while Xpak mailers provide enhanced weather resistance, privacy, and premium printability for branded shipments. Fastpak mailers are an excellent choice for documents and lightweight items that need superior tear and puncture resistance during transit.

By evaluating your products, shipping conditions, and branding goals, you can select the mailer that delivers the best combination of protection, cost savings, and customer experience. If you're unsure which option is right for your application, the packaging experts at Bravo Systems are ready to help you find the ideal solution for your shipping and fulfillment needs.
